Mt. Morris, IL, Gerald K "Jerry"  Zellers, age 79, passed away on Saturday February 12, 2022 in Rock River Hospice and Home, Sterling, IL. 
Gerald was born April 1, 1942 in Rockford, IL, the son of Kenneth and Lucille (Moats) Zellers. 
He graduated from Mt. Morris High School.  Gerald served in the US Army.  He worked for HA International from 1984 until 2004.  Gerald was a member of the Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren, a member of the Mt. Morris Senior Center and he loved his time at Shell with the guys, was loud watching the Cubs, watching Nascar, Family Feud, Three's Company, going to DQ for a caramel or hot fudge sundae, he was always smiling, he was a laid back all around nice guy, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Gerald is survived by his two daughters; 3 sons-in-law; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a brother and his wife.
 He is preceded in death by his parents and children, Gerald (Jerry) Zellers Jr. and Jamie Hayenga.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren with Pastor Rodney Caldwell officiating.  Burial will be held in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in the Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren.
  In lieu of flowers memorials to be determined.
