Sheila Byrd Fowler November 16, 1957 - February 16, 2022
Sheila Byrd Fowler, 64, of 726 S. Green River Road, Cowpens, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Dillon, S.C., she was the widow of the late Douglas "Doug" Wade Fowler and daughter of the late Ryan Byrd and Bonnie Hamilton Byrd.
She retired from Auto Zone and NAPA and was a member of Kirby Church where she was involved in the children's ministry, missions, kitchen team and served as a greeter. She loved her family, sewing, taking care of others and traveling, especially to Florida and Guatemala.
Surviving are two sons, Ryan Brigman of the home and John Fowler (Rachael) of Rutherfordton, N.C.; four daughters, Samantha Whisnant (Justin) of Gaffney, S.C., Nicole Lane (Adam) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Crystal Lester (Mark) of Florida and Joy Williamson (Mark) of Holden Beach, N.C.; three sisters, Terri Atkinson (David) of Middlesex, N.C., Lori Emmanuel (Kenny) and Joni Brown (Brian), both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; twelve grandchildren, Chase Hare, Spencer Hare, Alyssa Lester, Ashley Lester, Austin Lester, Rylee Lester, Tanner Whisnant, Jaxon Whisnant, Gracie Toney, Tyler Williamson, Nolan Fowler and Corbin Fowler; three great-grandchildren, Wayne, Weston and Addison; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Kirby Church. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church with Reverend Wil Vergara officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Kirby Church, "Missions" 512 Chandler Drive, Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
