He was married to Diana (Isaak) February 22, 1953 in Kulm, LaMoure, North Dakota. She was born May 12, 1932, Kulm, LaMoure, North Dakota, to William and Anna (Gackle) Isaak. She died September 20, 2017, Bismark, Burleigh, North Dakota.
