In 1959 Tinker was united in marriage to Judith "Judy" Reed-Warren who survives. To this union three children were born, Morgan Warren of Ironton, MO, Duane Warren and wife Cheryl of Ironton, MO, and Regina Phillips and husband Jason of Park Hills, MO, all of whom survive. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Doug, Tylor, Tasha, Keisha, Brandon, Megan, Jessie, and Mackenzie; 18 great-grandchildren (and one on the way), two brothers, Lawrence Warren and wife Alice of Ironton, MO, and Bernie Warren and wife Vivian of Park Hills, MO; five sisters, Betty Jones, Ilene Helt, Barbara Parsons, Jennie Hamilton, and Kim Rall; and many more loving family members and friends.
Tinker is preceded in rest by his parents John and Virgie, two sisters, Peggy Poorbaugh and Carolyn Schwach, and a brother in infancy Lloyd Warren.
For many years Tinker worked for GTE phone company where he held several positions, a few being a lineman when he started, working his way to be in the CO office, and then moved into splicing and construction. He was a hard-working man who couldn't stop moving and working on things, and he proved that by retiring and going back to work just after a short time. He enjoyed serving his community and he made many friends while working, customers and co-workers alike. He was one who would give of himself to help others, day or night, friend or stranger.
When he wasn't working, Tinker held other positions in the community in his free time; he was a member of the Masonic Lodge for almost 50 years and also once held the position of Master, he was a Boy Scout Master, a member of the Lion's Club of Centerville, a member of the Centerville Fire Department, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Iron Mountain for over 30 years.
These are just a few parts of Tinker's life, but most importantly, he loved his family, his friends, his church family, and his Lord. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
