Bill was a professional painter, but also did other construction and maintenance jobs. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, constructing model cars and ships, gardening, cookouts, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Cathy (Shane) White of Wilmington, Ohio, William C. "BJ" Howell Jr. of Hillsboro, Ohio, Jessica Howell of Xenia, Ohio, Jackie Allphin of Wilmington, Ohio, and Kelly Howell of Wilmington, Ohio; four brothers, Tom Howell of Wilmington, Ohio, Doug (Roxanne) Howell of Wilmington, Ohio, Joe (Patty) Howell of Middletown, Ohio, Albert (Rose) Neanover of Sabina, Ohio; three grandchildren which he was raising, Patience Ashe, Jordan Ashe, and Conar Ashe and five other grandchildren, Monica Allphin, Colton White, Rosetta White, Baby Dean Nichols, and Gracelyn Yerian; his mother-in-law, Mary Manley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, a brother, Frank Howell, and four sisters, Sarah Neanover, Julie Little, Janet Hayslip, and Patricia Davis, are preceded in death.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Those attending are encouraged to dress as Bill knew them. A funeral service with Pastor Matt Morgan officiating will begin at 1:00 PM, Tuesday. Burial will follow in Clinton County Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio to assist the family with expenses.
