Pamela Dee Swartzel Brooks, 65 of Blue Ridge, Virginia passed into her eternal rest on February 14, 2022.

She was born on March 20, 1956. She was preceded in death by her father Harry Davis Swartzel and special aunt Elene Falls. Pam is survived by her mother Dollie Falls Swartzel, her beloved son, Brandon Brooks and his fiancée, Alyssa Doss, her sister, Tracy (David) Burke and brother, Stuart (Ann) Swartzel. Two nieces, Heather Burke (Ryan) Shotwell, their two children Aiden and Paige Shotwell whom she adored and Megan Swartzel (Devin) Watts. An uncle, James (Patty) Swartzel. She is also survived by aunts, Gladys (Gerald) Leftwich, Edna Falls, Verda Falls and Shelby Gordon. A special cousin, Mitzi Janney and many other cousins.

The family will always be grateful to her ever present friends Trisha Payne, Sandy Howell, Wanda Payne and Linda Hullett. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and her beloved cats, Josie and Sofie. Pam graduated from Lord Botetourt High School in 1974. She was a lifelong member of Villamont Presbyterian Church. She loved the beach, gardening, summer concerts, birds, and animals in general. She was an avid fan of NASCAR and rarely missed a race. She was a talented photographer and her pictures received many compliments.

Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Lindsey Woods and Pam Dudding.

A Memorial Service celebrating Pam's life will be conducted on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00pm at Oakey's East Chapel. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00pm.
