Mr. Steve Preston Duffee, age 70 of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
Mr. Duffee was born in Griffin, Georgia on February 13, 1951. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was employed by K-Mart, Carter's, and American Woodmark through the years. Mr. Duffee was a member of Landmark Church of God in Griffin. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Homer Wise Duffee; mother, Jesse Mae Chadwick; step-father, Lee Chadwick.
Survivors include his daughters, Velma Hunsucker (Don), Miranda Perdue (Shane), grandchildren, Corey Perdue, Hannah Perdue, Stephy Perdue, William Perdue, great grandchild, Raeleigh Reid, sisters, Barbara Duffee, Wanda Ellis, brother, Marty Duffee , sister, Nita Lumus (Bob), brother, Randy Chadwick (Krystal), sister, Janice Richardson (Jason); several nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, June 18, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Pastor Rebecca Brannon will officiate. Interment will follow at Griffin Memorial Gardens.
