Obit: Alton J. Bush, 90, formerly of Route 26, Pitcher, N.Y., died March 27, 1993, at the Cortland Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 18, 1902, at Solon Pond, the son of Addison and Addie Seacord Bush and resided in the Solon Pond area for many years, where he operated a farm until 1947 when he sold it and moved to Panther Lake where he operated a sawmill. Mr. Bush was a former member of the Taylor Center Methodist Church, the Taylor Center Grange, the Cortland County Farm Bureau and the New York State Lumberman's Association. Surviving are one son, James Alton Bush of San Jose, Calif., three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Kincaid of Ewan, N.J., Mrs. Mary Lou Youmans of Cleveland, N.Y. and Mrs. Jane Addie of Staunton, Va., 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Bush was predeceased by two wives, Grace Harnden Bush in July 1957 and Lena Purcell Bush in November of 1991. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Black Funeral Home, Cincinnatus. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
