The Rev. Gregory S. Arnold, 57, of Troutdale, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.
He was born Jan. 12, 1950 in Marion to Boyd Scott and Edna Hope Bishop Arnold.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Walton Arnold of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy A. and Gary Woodel of Sparta, N.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Rena Arnold of Rural Retreat; a brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Jeanne Pierce of Bristol; three sisters-in-law and two spouses, Pat and Ronnie Pierce of Galax, Linda and Archie Delp of Sparta, N.C., and Doris Reedy of Marion; two brothers-in-law and a spouse, Danny and Tracy Walton and David Walton, all of Troutdale; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Sunday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, with burial in the Fairwood Cemetery, Troutdale. The Revs. Bill Morefield and Warner Eller officiated.
