Adopted parent: Brenda Chief Moon, Aunts: Paula Steinhauer, Diane Bird, Carol Bird, Lorna Bird, Carrie Black Plume; Uncle: Aaron Tallow; Adopted Grandparents: Rosanna Many Fingers and Lena Russell, and numerous family, relatives and friends. Gillian was predeceased by his parents: Patsy Tallow & Gilbert Wolf Plume; Aunts: Doris Bird, Delphine Yellow Old Woman, Gloria Black Plume; Uncles: Morris Shouting Jr., Aaron Tallow, Melvin Tallow; Siblings: Shane Panther Bone (brother), Cameron and Stanford Tallow; Infant sister: Lacey Tallow; Adopted siblings: Blake "Husky" Bird/Wolf Plume, Jordan Chief Moon "JR"; Grandparents: Frank Wolf Plume & Louise Mountain Horse, Jenny and Josephine Wolf Plume.

Gillian was born on November 3, 1991, at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital to proud parents Patsy Tallow and Gilbert Wolf Plume. His parents were overjoyed at their little blessing who filled their days with laughter and cherished memories. Gillian lived in Cardston, AB., as a baby but moved to Lethbridge where his parents raised him until their passing. Gillian was born with a heart murmur that made his family cherish him even more. He was a lively, humorous little boy who proudly wore three braids his mom did every morning. He held a special place in everyone's heart as evident by the people who took part in raising him. Gillian had many relatives and friends who took him as their own and helped to instil good qualities as he grew.

He had numerous relatives who became siblings throughout his life that he looked up to and reached out to on occasion when he needed comfort or someone to listen to. Gillian attended the Father Leonard Van Tighem School and Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge, AB., as well as the Kainai High School on the Blood reserve. Gillian worked at various jobs to support himself in his adulthood but due to his restless nature he would move on to something new after a short time.

Gillian had a knack for music early on. He was self-taught in his guitar playing and other areas through the use of YouTube. Guitar playing started out as a hobby and then grew into a passion of his. As a youngster, Gillian enjoyed having friends over to listen to music in his room. Both Gilbert and Patsy didn't mind the music and laughter coming from Gillian's room as they both knew he was safe. Gillian could entertain his friends for hours singing and playing his guitar. He enjoyed all genres of music but preferred rock and metal.

When his father Gilbert passed away, Gillian played Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. Gillian was definitely rambunctious and mischievous from an early age. He could be counted on to debate with his parents about everything from rules to stories in the news. It was obvious when Gillian was up to no good with an ear-to-ear grin and a twinkle in his eye. He had such an infectious laugh and grand manner of telling stories that would capture your attention and leave you smiling.

Gillian's mischievous ways continued into his teen years where you could find him playing pool with his friends at the Friendship Centre, instead of attending classes. Those who knew and loved Gillian, noticed how he walked — on his toes. His heels never seemed to touch the ground. He was especially closed to his cousin Colin Bird. Colin always told Gillian he should make use of his smarts by going back to school. Colin always offered him a place to stay and would often tell Gillian to come home with him. The last time Colin was with him, he nearly convinced Gillian to come home with him, but he backed out at the last second because he didn't want to leave his friends.

Gillian took the loss of his parents very hard, and even though he did his best to move on, part of him always grieved for his mom and dad. He was his dad's pride and joy; he would talk with him for hours trying to absorb the vast knowledge his dad had. Gilbert, who danced at the late Morris Crow's Sundance taught his son the virtues of hard work and respect; and especially to help out those in need. With his gentle and shy nature, Gillian admired his dad. His mom doted on him and sometimes even did his homework for him. Gillian was a unique individual who forged his own path paying tribute to his name Wolf Plume — as he often was a lone wolf fending for himself and fiercely protecting those he loved. He was the life of the party and made friends who became family wherever he went. Gillian was very smart and gained the majority of his knowledge through the difficult times of life throughout his way. He found kindred spirits in his friends and family from Lethbridge and together they enjoyed the good times and battled through the hardships. Gillian was a unique, spirited individual who will be greatly missed for his humour, friendship, love and musical ability. The Blackfoot world lost an amazing individual whose void will be felt for a long time to come. The family apologizes for any names they may have missed. Please pray for our beloved Gillian as he makes his journey home.

Rest In Peace Gillian…
