Warren G. Bailey of Cincinnati

Warren was born on April 27 of 1943. A son of the late Eugene and Elnora Bailey. He grew up in Egypt, Mississippi with many siblings. He later followed his sister to Cincinnati, Ohio. Warren would make a friend wherever he went with his contagious laugh and smile. Spreading the word of God wherever he went.

Warren was an Ordained Deacon. He spent much of his time learning God's word and spreading the word. When he wasn't studying the Bible, he was out at nursing facilities preaching the word to residents across Cincinnati who could no longer attend church.

Warren worked at The United States Postal Service for 30 years and was a proud Vietnam War Veteran. Though he was a hard worker, family and God remained the most important in his life. He spent most of his days in his garden, talking to neighbors and doing repairs around their home. Those same repairs kept the house intact for 3 generations to be raised with all of Warren's values.

Warren went through many trials and tribulations in his life. Even after numerous hospital stays, he still kept his faith in God and continued to live by his word.

On February 12, he requested his wife bring his Bible on her next visit. After having dinner one last time with his wife and receiving his bible, Warren went to sleep. He was later rushed to Mercy Fairfield in the early hours of Sunday February 13th. After being a servant of God for 78 years, he made it to the promise land. He was surrounded by his family.

Warren is survived by his wife, Patricia Bailey (Richardson) of 50 years; daughters, Warnetta (Edward) Bailey-Glaze and Janelle (Anthony) Bailey-Williams; grandchildren, Ivory McLeod, Jayla Jenkins and Warren McLeod; great-granddaughter, Brielle Wildon; siblings: Minerva Grayson, Katherine (Dan) Yount, Evelyn Townsend, Warzella Gillespie, Ollie Jetter, Eugene (Callie) Bailey, Jr., Willie C. Bailey; Rev. Harlin (Emma) Bailey. With a host of nieces and nephews that he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Wardell Bailey, Herman Bailey, William Bailey, and Lennon Bailey. Sisters: Bessie Whitfield, Mary Morton, Irma Dee Duncan, and Sarah Louis Bailey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 1pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2pm at Spring Grove Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45223. Entombment to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
