Jan Searcy passed away at home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
Frances Jeanette Sanders was born on Sept 27 1936 in Hylton, KY to Tom & Maxine Sanders. She was the eldest of 5 children.
Jan is survived by her husband, Ray Searcy, daughters Gerri Searcy, Sandy (Ken) Wood & Teresa (Mike) Perkinson. Brothers Richard & Tom Sanders, and sister Jeanne Cook.
She had 11 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
Jan was preceded in death by her sister Loretta Ward, son Brett Alan Searcy and granddaughter, Rebekah Autumn Littlehale.
She married Raymond Searcy, Oct 12, 1961 in Reno, NV.
Jan was a stay at home mom and raised her four kids, teaching them many life skills, such as cooking, gardening, canning, sewing and crochet.
Her favorite hobby was crocheting and she made many afghans and quilts for her family and friends. She also enjoyed attending the local gift bazaars and selling her handmade items.
She enjoyed league bowling in her younger years, participating in the 1979 League Championships, representing Borges Construction.
Jan enjoyed singing in the church choir when a choir was available.
