It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving Father, Dad, and Poppy. Poppy passed away on Saturday the 12th of February 2022. He is now free from the constraints of Parkinson's Disease. He battled this horrible disease for almost 10 years. He fought hard and fought every day until he had enough, and God called him home.

Poppy was hard working man his whole life whether he was wiring a multimillion-dollar crane, working in his backyard taking care of his fish and ponds, or even building a fence after he got shot in the arm with a nail gun by one of his boys. I can say that was not me who shot him in the arm, but I was the one that drove the car into the kitchen when I was 14. If Mom had a project, Poppy would make it happen. He loved working at WEBCO Industries in Mannford and Tulsa. Up until his passing, he continued to talk about the friends he worked with and trained during his time there. Poppy also loved traveling to Alaska and the Caribbean on various cruises. My most cherished memories are the many vacations during the summer when we would head to the East Coast and spend time at the beach with many aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Many awesome memories of surf fishing, the beaches between Bethany Beach Delaware and Ocean City Maryland. We also had many deep-sea fishing trips aboard the boat Captain Ike that will never be forgotten. He was a huge Kansas City Chief fan, loved the Penn State Nittany Lions, and was a huge Oklahoma State Fan "Go Pokes!"

Poppy was married to the love of his life Susan on March 18th, 1964 in Tulsa. They have had many crazy adventures together. Poppy had 2 sons. Poppy was preceded in death by his Dad and Mom (Charles and Sarah), and his sister Mary Sue. He is survived by a brother of Jenks, OK. He is also survived by his 2 sons and their
families along with many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and his granddaughters.

Poppy was a simple hard-working man and always wanted to make sure that his family had everything they needed. Per his wishes, in lieu of flowers, we are setting up an account to help with college expenses for his granddaughter's Allison and Meg. Donations can be made at any Tulsa Teachers Credit Union location in the name of the Allison and Meg College Fund.
