Anne Francis (Tizzard) Smith Passed away on Friday, February 11th, 2022 in Sherman Texas.

A Rosary will be said Thursday, February 17th, 2022, at 6pm Dannel Funeral Home on South Walnut St. Sherman Tx. Visitation will be from 6:30pm until 8:00pm after the Rosary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 18th, 2022, at 11am at St. Anne's Catholic Church on S. Travis St. Sherman TX. Father Martin Castaneda along with Deacon Jim Adlof will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's cemetery.

It was Anne's request no flower please. Memorial charitable donations can be made to St. Mary's Conference of St. Vincent De Paul (an organization who helps all those in need.), St. Mary's Parish, St. Mary's school or a Charity of your choosing.

Anne was born in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada on September 23, 1932, to Reuben and Bride Tizzard. Anne graduated from Secretarial college in Canada and was employed at Pepperell Air Force Base in St. John's where she met Joe R Smith while he was stationed at Pepperell AFB. They were married August 2, 1952, at Pepperell Air Force base. After Anne's 5 children were grown. Anne went back to school graduating from Grayson College and lacked 1 semester of completing a degree at Southeastern University. Anne was a homemaker by choice but was also very active in her Church, her children's activities and community. Her whole life was one of love and service to God, family and others.

Anne is survived by Joan Smith, Karen Dierksen (Alan), Kevin Smith (Kim), and Cathy Robertson (Rick). Anne is survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anne is survived by two of her brothers Austin Tizzard and Eugene Tizzard (Carol) and Sister-in-law Joan Tizzard and numerous Nieces and Nephews in Canada. Sister-in-law Norita Smith Nephews C Ray (Rachel) and Mike in Texas.

Anne is preceded in death by husband Joe R Smith, son Gerald (Jerry) Smith, parents Reuben & Bride (Palfrey) Tizzard, brothers Christopher and Stan Tizzard. Sisters Sheila Doyle Mary Sullivan, and Brother-in-law Ray Smith. Grandson by love Jimmy Smith.
