Harold Gene Harrison, 73 of Star City, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home.

He was born November 25, 1948 in Yorktown to the late Harold H. and Lillian Woodruff Harrison

He was of the Baptist faith, being saved and baptized into First Baptist Church at Yorktown and was retired from International Paper. He was a wounded Vietnam veteran with the United States Army, earning the purple heart and bronze star. Harold enjoyed hunting, watching birds and playing with his cats.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Cameron Harrison; 2 brothers, Rodger Dale Harrison and Jimmy Lynn Harrison; and a sister, Betty Sue Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Harrison of Star City; 2 sons, Brian Harrison of Star City and Ricky Don Hayes of Pine Bluff; 3 brothers, Jerry (Deborah) Harrison, Johnny Lee (Crystal) Harrison, and Billy Joe (Vickie) Harrison; 2 sisters, Alice (Jerry) Shumake and Kay Harrison, all of Star City; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:00AM Friday February 18, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Yorktown, with graveside services following at 10:00AM. Bro. Elmer Byerly will officiate.
