Don C. Rutherford, aged 27, died from a continued illness at his residence, 1223 Jordan street, Wednesday night at 10:45 o'clock.
Funeral servies will be held from the undertaking parlors of Roll Osborn & Sons this afternoon at 3 o'clock, Dr. M. E. Dodd, pastor of the First Baptist church officiating.
Mr. Rutherford is survived by his wife and two small children; mother, Mrs. F. B. Rutherford of 1349 South McNealstreet, who has been the Travelers' Aid agent at the Union depot for the last eight years; three brothers, D. J. and Hardy Rutherford, both of 1349 South McNeal street, and Sergeant Thurston Rutherford, who is now at Camp Devens, Mass.; three half sisters, Mrs. Addie Armstrong of Oklahoma City, Miss Allen of Chicago, and Mrs. Gertrude Enders of Douglas, Arizona, and four aunts, Miss Lilly, Miss Genie, and Miss Courtney Mizell, all of Gibsland, La.; Mrs. John Monzingo of Minden, La., and Mrs. J. D. Webb of Monroe, La.
He was formerly a mechanic in the employ of the Texas A Pacific railway company's shops here, and members of the Machinists' Union will officiate as pallbearers at the funeral Ihis afternoon.
Interment will be in the Forest Park cemetery.
