Michelle was born in Copperhill, TN on July 11, 1953, to Phillip Georgia Jabaley and Bettye Jean Daves Jabaley Minor. She was a 1971 graduate of Norcross High School, a 1975 graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she received her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood – special education, and a graduate of Georgia College and State University, where she received her masters degree in Education, and a 2006 graduate of Cambridge College in Augusta where she received her specialist degree. She was preceded in death by her father Phillip George Jabley, her mother Bettye Jean Daves Jabley Minor and her stepfather Hulon Minor.
She enjoyed working with children and taught at Smith Street Baptist Church in Vidalia and 7th grade at Vidalia High School, Hillcrest Baptist Church School in Augusta. She worked at Putnam County Elementary School for 29 years until she retired in 2014.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Milledgeville, where she led Divorce Care Kids, worked with Vacation Bible School, and was a member of the Believers Learning Together, BLT, Sunday School Class.
