James E. Love, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his own home on Friday February 11th, 2022, at the age of 60. Born in Rockland, Illinois on June 13th, 1961, Jim is the youngest son of Eileen Shafer and the late James M. Love.

Jim graduated from Bern Knox Westlow High School before joining the United States Navy in 1980 where he served his country honorably.

Jim married his beloved wife Tina 42 years ago in Rotterdam, N.Y. where they made their home and raised three children, Tonya, Edward, and Christine. He is the Papi of James, Isalbelle and Carlo.

Jim was a history enthusiast, he enjoyed trips to historical sites near and far with his family and took great pleasure in sharing facts about historical events with friends and loved ones. In his younger years, Jim spent many hours with his other half Tina enjoying live music events, from Led Zepplin to Pink Floyd. In most recent years Jim and Tina took pleasure in watching the Mets play while cooking a meal together or making homemade jam.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 18th, 2022, from 10:00am-12:00pm.

Jim will be laid to rest at Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
