Mr. Leblanc was a native and lifelong resident of Opelousas. A veteran of the military, Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved to cook, and was a jokester who enjoyed making people laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Leblanc; his father, Joseph Leblanc; two brothers, Todd Leblanc and his wife, Monica, and Eric Leblanc; and his sisters, Cathy Richard and her companion, Mike Jeffers, Jeri Vasseur and her husband, Terry, Donna Dupre and her husband, Mitch, and Michelle McKenzie. He was also blessed with four Godchildren, Daniel Penland, Danielle Penland Risk, Elizabeth Richard, and Parker Dupre; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, the former Nora Lalonde; and a brother, Kenneth Leblanc.
A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed immediately by the funeral service.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Todd Leblanc, Parker Dupre, Terry Vasseur, Mitch Dupre, Jeremy Vasseur, and Gabriel Richard.
