Ronald Eugene Young, 55, of Macon, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Hart's at the Cupola, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.

Ronald worked as a truck driver for Saia LTL for 23 years. He loved watching sports, especially the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and Winnipeg Jets.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Young and Gloria Faye Denny Young; sister, Diane Cotton; and brother, Johnny Young.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kerry Schmidt Young; sons. Michael Schmidt (Sadie), of Carrollton, Georgia, and Morgan Young, of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren: Christopher Schmidt, Colin Schmidt, Casen Schmidt, and Caraleena Rose Schmidt; brother, Donald Young, of Jonesboro, Georgia. He attended College Park High School and was a member of a group of friends known as the "Good Time Gang," that included: Dean Spencer, Daniel Bryant, Blaine Crea, and Tommy Stepp.
