She was the daughter of the late Adan Valdes and Damacia Lara Valdes, and was a housewife. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Shem VanDoren; 1 Brother: Robert Valdes; 1 Sister-in-Law: Mary Valdes; and her Nephews: Jimmy Chevrette and Jesse Valdes.

Survivors include 1 Daughter: Lisa Gallant of Murfreesboro, TN; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Mindy VanDoren Valdez; Brothers: Manuel (Suzie) Valdez of MI, Steve Valdez of MI, Eddie (Pam) Valdes of MI, Tony (Kelly) Valdes, and David Valdez; Sisters: Erlinda (Kevin) Jonio of MI, Becky (Don) Martin of IL, Elizabeth (Les) Hurting of MS, and Teresa (Jeff) Woods of Iowa; Grandchildren: Jaimie (Alex) Torres of MI, Aiyana Gallant of TN, Kristopher Gallant of TN, Kaleb (Ashley) Skuse, Natalie VanDoren, Story VanDoren Johnson, and Shiah VanDoren Johnson; and Great Grandchildren: Jace Skuse of MI, and Jackson Skuse of MI.

Memorial services will be held on March 5, 2022, at Adrian First Church of the Nazarene, 50 Industrial Dr. Adrian, Michigan 49221. Local pastors will officiate the service. The family has chosen cremation.
