Mr. Ronald was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Bertie Avant and Nina Creel Cox. He was retired from Wellman Industries as a Supervisor in the Wool Division. He was a member of the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church for 65 plus years, served as a Trustee for 49 years, served as the Sunday School Superintendent for 35 years, served as a Deacon for 45 years, and also taught Sunday School for many years.
He served as President of the Alligator Hunting Club since the club was formed, enjoyed fishing especially for spots in the Inlet in October, farming, playing sports when he was younger, but most of all he loved the time he spent with his family.
He was predeceased by a son, Charles Russell Cox and Joyce Powell.
