Steve French was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 9th, 1963. He entered into rest at his home in Joplin, Missouri on February 13th, 2022 at the age of 58. At the age of 10, he joined his parents and sister as missionaries to Mexico until attending Ozark Bible Institute of Neosho, Missouri from 1983-1987. He received a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Literature and studied Christian Education and proceeded to use his education in many areas of ministry. He met and married his wife, Niki, during his time at Ozark Bible Institute. They made their home in Neosho for the next 21 years. Steve enjoyed various occupations of construction, remodeling, mechanics, a school bus driver for 12 years, and a substitute teacher for 4 years for the Neosho R-5 school district. The ministry was his passion. He enjoyed children's ministry most of all. This included children's church, Royal Rangers, and traveling doing Kids Crusades for 21 years. He loved pastoring for 2 years until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. He strived to show the love of Jesus to every person he met. He is survived by his wife, Niki (Rice) of 29 1/2 years, his five children, Kelly, Tyler, Parker, Hailey, and Courtney French, one sister Missy Lester, and his parents Vernal and Jean French.
