Rosalie Osias was an attorney who rose to fame as a mortgage attorney and a firebrand whose views on the women's means to advancement in the workplace ignited firestorms of controversy due to her very bold and direct point of view that ran counter to the views of the media.

She ran a number of law offices across New York State as the owner with business ties to approximately 40 banks.

She ran suggestive full-page newspaper ads which brought her a lot of business but saw her run afoul of the New York state bar for these practices but was cleared of the charges on in late July of 1997. Osias says the point of the ads, some of which featured the blonde attorney lounging in sexy clothing and high heels, was to 'crack the glass ceiling protecting the male-dominated corporate culture.'

In an interview on her legal victory she said 'Lawyers can now use plenty of cleavage and leg in advertising their law firms and their expertise.'

Her philosophy was one of being a critical observer of human nature and realistic about the nature of women's roles and honesty with who they are and are meant to be and interviews with her were very interesting and garnered a lot of agreement and disagreement.

She appeared on Art Bell's radio show on May 27, 1997 discussing her controversial views and it was one of the more popular Art Bell episodes.
