Marilyn was born in Aurora, Utah on 28 October 1933 to William Ritch and Mabel (Ogden) Harward. She grew up in Richfield, Utah, alongside a sister and two brothers. She loved each one with all her heart.
Marilyn was an adventurous young woman who loved hiking in the red hills west of her home in Richfield, riding bikes, playing softball, swimming, and spending time in the mountains. At a very young age, Marilyn demonstrated an impressive artistic ability and learned to oil paint. She created many beautiful works of art that her family cherishes. She was an avid reader and gained great knowledge on many subject and a true historian who accomplished much in the way of family history.
Marilyn attended BYU where she gained and maintained many lifelong friendships. Upon returning to her hometown, Marilyn met her sweetheart, Gerald Edwin Davis. They married in the Manti temple on 20 April 1956. To them was born six children and Marilyn devoted her life to them and her husband. She also had a sweet connection and great love for each grandchild that came along, which brought her much joy.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marilyn had an unwavering testimony of our Heavenly parents and our Savior, Jesus Christ. She had a deep love of the scriptures and touched many lives with her beautiful lessons.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her sisters, Karen Young and Peggy Benson; and granddaughters, Angela Merrill and Lauren Lacey Isbell.
She is missed dearly by her devoted husband, Gerald Davis; loving brother, Brian Ritch (Ilene) Harward; adoring children, Catherine (Lynn) Merrill, Elaine (Stuart) Isbell, Gregory Edwin (Wendi) Davis, Jeanette (Joel) Sadler, Lisa Ann Davis, and Marcia (Jim Dunford) Cornell; twenty-five beloved grandchildren and thirty-five wonderful great-grandchildren.
Family and ward friends are invited to the viewing at the ward building, 2110 North Main, Centerville on Saturday, 19 February 2022 from 10:45 to 11:45 A.M., where funeral services will convene at Noon, followed by interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
