He was born on August 8, 1955 in Richlands Va, he was the son of
the late Alexander Vance, and Helen Smith.
Ricky was a retired coal miner from US steel and loved playing music. He enjoyed riding his side by side with his best bud Connie Jewell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Sue Vance, three brothers Roger Vance, Alexander Vance Jr. and Edward Vance. Two sisters Deloris Roberts, and Phylis Chapman. A step-son Mark Payne II.
He was a deacon at the Kopperston Free Will Baptist Church,
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Two sons, Two daughters, Eight Grandsons, Three Grand daughters, Two brothers.
He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
