Ellen (Morrison) Brown, age 56, earned her angel wings on July 22, 2020, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Ellen was born March 30, 1964 in Charleston, West Virginia to David D Morrison of Enola and Ingeborg (Wiphler) Morrison of Fort Myers, Florida. In addition to her parents, Ellen is survived by five children: Uriah Earnest (Crysti Stum) of Millerstown, Clarissa Earnest of Landisburg, Justus Earnest of Loysville, and both Nicholette Bear (Dakota) and Juliette Weller (Daniel) of Elliottsburg. In addition to her parents and children, Ellen is survived by two brothers: David L Morrison of Enola and John Morrison of Bowlus, Minnesota and two grandchildren: Olivia Stoke of Landisburg and Gabriel Earnest of Millerstown. Ellen will also be missed by her canine companion, Kenny. She was a beautiful and devoted mother, and grandmother. Ellen possessed unfathomable and unconditional love and kindness toward others and gave the best advice.
Ellen lived for and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anneliese Phillips of West Virginia. Understandably, Ellen loved the peaceful quality of the seashore. While raising five children and working multiple jobs simultaneously, she also completed her Cosmetology certificate, trained and obtained her Certified Nursing Assist license, attended art school, ran a paper route, was a fabulous cook, and operated and baked for a bakery, making beautiful wedding cakes. In her free time, she painted and drew in pastels and oils. Her greatest accomplishment was her children. When the children were younger, she taught Sunday School and led Girl Scouts.
Ellen's celebration of life will be privately held at the convenience of the family at a later date due to COVID.
Arrangements entrusted to Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc.
