Robert was born in Wilkes-Barre and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was employed by Offset Paperback, Dallas, for the past 28 years.
He enjoyed drag racing and riding his dirt bike. Robert was an avid Steelers fan and loved his dog and cats.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Zatkoff Smith, in 2009, and his sister, Karen Smith in 2011.
He is survived by his parents, Robert D. and Jo Ann Hummer Smith, Forty Fort.
Funeral services will be held Friday at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. C. E. Coleman will officiate.
Interment will follow in Albert Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday evening and Friday prior to services.
