Janet Marie Simpson, 66, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away quietly at her home on January 28, 2020. Janet was born in Livingston, Texas, on May 7, 1953, to the late Bobbie Glenn and Henry Martin. Janet attended McArthur High School in Houston, TX.

Janet's favorite pastimes were reading, tending to her rose bushes, spending time with her family, and listening to some good ol' Bob Marley, her favorite all-time musician. The simplest things in life made her smile... flip flops, hummingbirds, and the beach.

Janet is survived by her sisters Linda Beavers, Peggy Murphy and husband Wayne, Brenda Lukasqewski and husband Tom, brother Henry Martin, daughters, Peggy Kay Stark and Dianna Marie Fuson, and grandchildren, Gavin Stark, Olivia Mendoza, and Tommy Lafitte. Janet also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A service celebrating the life of Janet will be held at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA, on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11am. Guests are invited to wear your favorite Bob Marley t-shirt. "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have." – Bob Marley
