Beverly Ann Johnson 92 went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb 11, 2022 and join the love of her life Bill. She passed away at Signature Health Care of Muncie with her daughter and son by her side.
Beverly was born May 14, 1929 in Bartow, FL, the daughter of William S. and E. Jewell Moore and graduated from Sullivan High School in Sullivan, IN.
She came to Muncie and married the love of her life William N. Johnson June 26, 1948. Beverly worked at Wise Supermarket for many years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and was on a bowling league for years. She was also a member of Muncie Baptist Church and was baptized in the river in Albany, IN.
She loved to play Bingo, go to the Casino, dance, read books, especially Danelle Stelle. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Johnson in 2015; her brother, W. Stuart Moore; two sons-in-law, Gerald "Gene" Roberts and James Abbott; along with her parents.
Survivors include her children, Deborah Roberts, Bruce E. Johnson (wife, Sheila), and Nancy Abbott; grandchildren, Michael Roberts (wife, Angie), Lucas Johnson (wife, Elaine), Travis Johnson, Ashley Anderson (husband, Eddie), Tyler Douglas and Guy Douglas Jr.; great grandchildren, Logan Johnson, Allie Jellison, Chelsea Johnson, Zackery Johnson, William Cash Douglas, Eddie Anderson IV and Ramey Anderson.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Kindred Hospice for their care and support. Also, a special thanks to long-time caregiver and friend, Teresa Welch, and to Sandy Riddle and Becky Moles, who all helped Beverly stay in her home as long as possible.
Services will be 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will take place privately at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
