He was a member of Rich Hill Baptist Church and attended Heath Springs Baptist Church. He was a member of Barron Masonic Lodge # 261. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Elizabeth Knight Baker; and three brothers, Bobby Baker, Gerald Baker, and Hal Baker. Surviving are his wife, Janice Fletcher Baker; two daughters, Susan Elizabeth Lucas and her husband, Terry, and Angela Michelle Bacham and her husband, Jason; two grandchildren, Logan Lucas and Landon Lucas; sister, Matrel B Mackey and her husband, Gerald; two stepchildren, Brian Elliott and his wife, Brandi, and Kim Miranda and her husband, Steve; and five step grandchildren.
