Johnny W. McClure, age 62, of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was born on July 10, 1959.


He was a loyal employee of Mohawk Industries for 24 years. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and was a member of Soul Station Community Church.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alice Delsey "Goss" McClure; son, JJ McClure; brothers, Junior McClure, Clarence McClure, Willie McClure, Gary McClure; sisters, Ida Price, Joyce Young, and Joan Dodd; grandson, Jonathan Sanford.


He is survived by his wife, Scarlett McClure; sons, Jackson (Stephanie) McClure of Dahlonega and Tyler (Sheyanne) Gadd of Chatsworth; daughters, Dolly (Harley) Towe of Dahlonega, Sarah (Bryan) Grant of Chickamauga, Katie Brownlow of Dalton, Rose (Clint) Mulkey of Tunnel Hill, Haley (Cristal) McClure of Chatsworth; brothers, Wayne McClure of Cleveland, GA, William McClure of Gainesville; sisters, Helen Smith of Clarksville, GA, Minnie Landers of Gainesville, Ruthie (William) Green of Gainesville, Gladies Tullis of Maysville, Jannie Marchbanks of Cleveland, GA, Nancy (Larry) Hamilton of Cleveland, GA; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.


A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny W. McClure will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Bishop Mike Watkins Sr. will be officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
