Charles Kenneth Armstrong, 82, of Early, Texas passed away Friday, February 11, 2022.

A visitation with the family is planned for Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Heartland Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Church of Christ in Early, Texas with interment to follow at Santa Anna Cemetery.

Kenneth was born August 23, 1939 in Santa Anna, Texas to Charles Noel and Chloti (Brannan) Armstrong.

He grew up in Santa Anna and attended high school at Santa Anna High School.

Kenneth married Patsy Lenora Pepper and they began a life together that blessed them with 3 children. Patsy grew up in Early, Texas so a few years after she married Kenneth, he relocated to Early and they spent the rest of their lives together in Early. Kenneth working at Superior Cable as a primary operator in 1963 and retired in 2010. He was known as "Dad" to his younger coworkers. He worked part time at Hi Way auto parts for many years.

He enjoyed taking his family camping, water skiing, traveling, bowling, and snow skiing. Spending time together with his family was the highlight and passion of his life.

He was a great Papa to many grandkids and great grandkids.

Kenneth was devoted to all of his loved ones and was a jack of all trades.

He enjoyed wood working and building things with his hands.

Kenneth went above and beyond to make sure that his loved ones had everything they needed.

No kinder or more gentle man has walked the earth.

He was always smiling even through the bad times and was loved by all.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Patsy Lenora Armstrong of Early; son, Danny Armstrong and wife Brenda of Brownwood; daughters, Debbie Jackson and husband Jason of Early, Donna Vickers an husband David of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Yvonne Halmon of Santa Anna and Janice Estes and husband Carlos of Hutchins, TX; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to express a deep appreciation to Elara Caring, Hill Country Home Care, Alpha & Omega Hospice and Amy Bynum for their friendship, guidance and care of their husband and father during this time.
