BERKEBILE – Dwaine A., 88, of Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, passed away February 12, 2022 at Westmont Woods. Born November 1, 1933 in Wilbur. Son of Guy and Lulu (Grine) Berkebile. Preceded in death by parents; stepfathers, Lewis Miller and John Lehman; brothers, Cletus, Cloyd and Bruce and sister Lorraine. Survived by wife of 64 years, Romayne F. (Freeman) Berkebile; children, Sandra L. Berkebile, Edie, Bradley R. Berkebile, Edie and William L. Berkebile and wife Sheila (Lees), Somerset. Dwaine was a 1952 graduate of Westmont High School. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Retired employee of GTE and Verizon with 40 years of service. Member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking and attending auctions and flea markets. At Dwaine's request there will be no viewing.
