John Carnes Cutler passed away August 6, 2015, He was last living in Greenville, South Carolina. John Carnes Cutler was born, January 2, 1928, in western Pennsylvania to John B. and Elmo Wilhelmine (Carnes) Cutler.

He was Music Teacher and Band Director, from 1953-1957, at Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. He attended college and received his Master's degree. His career for over 30 years was in the field of education, both in the public school system in Pennsylvania where his last position was Superintendent of Schools, and in privately owned Sylvan Learning Centers where he and his wife Anne were owner-directors.

John was in the U.S. Army band, serving during the Korean War. John loved music, golf, boating and water, and was a skilled handyman. He loved to tinker. He also loved to make people laugh and enjoyed being with his family. John was a kind, gentle man who impacted all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. We rejoice that his faith is now sight.

John was active in the local Rotary club and his church throughout his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather.

John and his first wife, Jean, had 3 children; Andy, Lynne and Valerie. He later married Anne and gained four step-children; George, Tracy, Heather and
Elizabeth. Together they had 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Don and Joe. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Marian.
