Waneta Chloe Wheeler, age 82, of Holland, passed away on Wednesday February 2nd, at home surrounded by family.
Waneta's 5 children were the center of her life; she gave her all to them to ensure they became their very best in life and love. She was a huge animal advocate and ran a rescue for many years, helping and rehoming countless needy animals of all sizes and types. Waneta was a stay at home mother until age 40; from 40-60, she worked as a machinist at John Thomas Batts. Upon the company closing, she obtained her CDL classification through trucking school and held several chauffer positions. Once Waneta retired, many of her hobbies included, treasure hunting in antique and second hand shops with her daughters and traveling to small northern towns to explore.

Waneta is survived by: her children, Kellie (Ron) Walker, Heidi (Rick) Koster, Royce (Jodi) Wheeler, and Shane Wheeler; brother, Brad Arnold; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Waneta was preceded in death by: her son, Dean and daughter-in-law Jan Wheeler; parents, Frank and Zella Arnold; brothers, Doug Arnold and Gord Arnold; and sister, Guyla Bouwman.

A private family memorial will take place with Rev Bill Vanderwerp officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Harbor Humane Society.
