Joanne M. Johnson, 78, Green Bay, passed away, September 17, 2021 after a brief stay at Unity Hospice with family by her side. She was born in Green Bay, WI, on May 19, 1943, to Harry and Helen (DeWitt) Johnson. Joanne grew up in Duval, WI on the family farm which was a great gathering place for family and friends over the years. She was a graduate of Luxemburg High School and attended business school in Green Bay where she studied accounting. She spent the majority of her career as a bookeeper and accountant for Ver Halen, Inc. in Green Bay before retiring from there several years ago. Joanne loved to travel especially to California, attend concerts of her favorite performers, plays, and hang out with friends and cousins. Most of all she was a huge Green Bay Packer fan , and Monday morning quarterback who liked to talk about her favorite team who she followed to San Diego for the Super Bowl in January of 1998. The two loves of her life were Brett Favre and Tim McGraw. She was also a big fan of Garth Brooks, Paul McCartney and many other musicians. She also enjoyed her times as a member of the Red Hatters Club. Joanne could often be found enjoying a meal, fish plate, beverage or Packer's game at Cropseys, Bourbon Street. She was a big fan of Culvers.
She is survived by her aunt, Janice Bodart; cousins and special friends and family members.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Arthur and Mary Johnson, Louis and Rose DeWitt; aunts, uncles of the Johnson and DeWitt families.
Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St. Thursday September 23, from 4 PM until 8 PM with a Parish wake service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Friday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 710 N. Baird St., from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
