Cyrene Catherine Vanderpool was the daughter of John Vanderpool Jr and Mildred 'Milly' Mann. She married first, David Teegarden, in July 1842 and they had a daughter, Nancy. In April, 1847, she married her cousin, David Howard Vanderpool, and they had six children: Sarah Elizabeth, Milly, Kinman A., Avert, Green and David. Both marriages were in Ray County, MO.

Death of a Pioneer of 1852: Mrs. D.H. Vanderpool died at her home in Benton County yesterday at the age of 74 years. She was a pioneer of 1852, coming to Oregon in that year from her native state, Missouri. She resided with her husband in Clackamas and Polk County until 1862 when they settled in Benton County, near Wells, where they afterwards resided. Mr. Vanderpool died sometime ago. She leaves two sons, David and Avert and two daughters, Mrs. Neil of Scio and Mrs. Doughty of Independence.
