Melissa worked at Lamb County Leader News for many years. She loved to go couponing and shopping. Everywhere she went, and no matter what she was going thru, Melissa always had a smile on her face with her always kind and bubbly personality. She was a loving and unselfish woman, who spoiled her parents and her family, and always took care of everyone else before herself. Her family was her biggest joy, and she loved being a 'Grandma' and a "Yaya". Melissa was a Christian and attended New Mount Olive Church in Littlefield.
She is survived by her partner, Juan Hernandez Sr. of Littlefield; two daughters, Jordan Stone and partner Tyreese Jackson of Littlefield and Mercedes Coronado and wife Ajay Camargo of Lubbock; sons, Joseph Coronado, Elijah Hernandez and Juan Hernandez Jr., all of Littlefield; seven grandchildren, Analee Rodriquez, Amaris Rodriquez, Kato Camargo, Cameron Coronado, Tyree Jackson Jr., Evangelina Hernandez and Sailor Perez; her parents, Gilbert and Lucy Silva of Littlefield; sister, Monica Jefferson and husband Dorsett of Littlefield; brothers, Gilbert Silva Jr. and wife Amy Padilla-Silva of Lubbock and Alex Silva and wife Ximena of Littlefield; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Celebration of Life services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday February 12, 2022 at Crescent Park Church of Christ in Littlefield. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Gilbert Silva, Alex Silva, Tyreese Jackson, Dorsett Jefferson, Elijah Hernandez and Juan Hernandez Jr. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
