James G. McClain, 85, of Shelbyville, died on Wednesday, the 9th day of February, 2022, at U of L Health Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born in Spencer County on the 6th day of January in 1937, he was the son of the late Jesse Lee and Zora Alice Richardson McClain. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his nine siblings. His hobbies were watching TV, gardening, he loved to laugh and be funny, and he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Jean Whitaker McClain, of Shelbyville, his two children, James Owen McClain, of Pleasureville and Pamela MacLaine of Shepherdsville; his five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, the 14th day of February, 2022, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with Reverend Nathan Shaw officiating. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
