SFC Brown was born January 17, 1935 in Waverly, TN to Jack and Minnie Brown. He retired from the US Army after one tour in Korea and 2 tours in Vietnam during which he earned the Bronze Star. After his Army retirement he went to work for TVA. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by wife of 60 years, Nobuko Matsumoto Brown, son Jackie Brown (Kim) of Germantown and Jeanie Bone of Knoxville, Brother Leroy Brown of Ohio, one grandson and one granddaughter, and a host of friends.
