Graveside services for Diana Massey, 68, of Malakoff, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Red Hill Cemetery near Murchison with Bro. Kris Minefee officiating. Services will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Massey passed away on February 10, 2022, in Athens.
Diana Kaye (Bennett) Massey was born June 30, 1953, at the Warner Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia, the daughter of J.C. Bennett and Greta Jean (Hanes) Bennett. She was a homemaker for many years taking care of her family, she truly enjoyed cooking and was an avid animal lover. Diana then started working for ARGON in Athens in the QA department for nearly 10 years before retiring. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed by all she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Patricia Hansen.
Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Terry Massey of Malakoff; four children, Tara Moore and husband Will of Lindale, Michael Sanders of Athens, Christi Lawley and husband Tracy of Ben Wheeler, Christopher Massey of Tyler; sister Jeanie Sandusky of Rowlett and six grandchildren, David Moore, Krystal Moore, Rae Sanders, Marissa Sanders, Nathanial Massey and Logan Spath.
