Edward H. Bradley was born on July 6, 1926 in Harrah, OK. He passed away in Norman, OK on August 14, 2007. He served in the U.S. Navy and participated in the invasion of Okinawa during World War II. Coincidentally, his date of passing is also the 60th anniversary of V-J Day. After the war, he returned to Oklahoma and married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Klotz, also of Harrah. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. He was employed with the Oil Well Division of U.S. Steel for 36 years and served in a variety of management positions covering an area from the Rocky Mountains to West Virginia. During his years with U.S. Steel, Edward and his family lived in Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming. After retirement, he decided to devote as much time as possible to spending time with his family and playing golf. Edward and his wife, Dorothy, spent much of their time after retirement traveling to a variety of places across the United States. Together, they visited places like Alaska, Las Vegas, and New York City. Edward and Dorothy moved to Norman in 1993 and were members of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
