Linda (Bowerman) Utley, 75, of Dixon, entered eternal life on February 10, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, in Rockford.
She loved and served the Lord. She is finally reunited with her loving husband.
Linda was born on May 5, 1946 in Michigan City, IN, the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Hill) Bowerman.
he was a 1965 graduate of Elston High School. She married Donald C. Utley on May 26, 2007. He predeceased her on January 27, 2011. Linda was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Linda had empathy and compassion and was always helping others. She believed that God chose her to be the caring angel that she was. Linda loved baking and giving goodies away to enlighten others, especially at Christmas. She loved crafting and preparing taxes. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include one daughter and husband; two brothers; one granddaughter; two nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Cremation rites will follow, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City, IN at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
