The funeral of Griswold Harte, oldest son of Bret Harte, the author, who died on Tuesday at his home, 112 Lawrence Street, Brooklyn, was held yesterday. The services took place in St. Michael's Protestant Episcopal Church in High Street. Mr. Harte was thirty-seven years old and was born in San Francisco. He was educated at Oxford University, England, and for a number of years worked as a newspaper reporter in different cities in this country. He was first employed on The Evening Sun, this city. The burial was in Cypress Hills Cemetery.
