JoAnn May Williams, 75, passed away at her home in Sioux City.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Rev. Kenny Hsu officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
JoAnn was born March 26, 1946 in Maskell, NE, the daughter of George and Henrietta (Rahn) Anderson. JoAnn graduated from Ponca High School in 1964. She married Harold R. Williams on March 14, 1970 in Newcastle, NE. Harold preceded her in death on February 8, 2011 in Sioux City.
JoAnn worked at Iowa Beef and then started her career in baking. She worked at Bakery Buddy for 23 years and then worked in the bakery department at Hy-Vee in South Sioux City until retirement. JoAnn enjoyed needlepoint, embroidery, reading her Bible, and was active in her church, St. Paul's Lutheran.
Survivors include her brother Bob "Kemo" and wife Patty Anderson of Ponca, NE; niece Nancy and husband LaVerle Johnson of Laurel, NE; Nephews: Ryan Anderson and significant other Sarah of Sioux City, Rodney and wife Reney Anderson of Denver, CO, Steve and wife Debra Forney of Jacksonville, NC, David and wife Mary Forney of Winona, MN, and Larry and wife Leslie Williams of Sioux City; sister-in-law Charlene Anderson of Boise, ID; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, and two brothers: Wesley and Merle Anderson.
