Lucille Roberts, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at The Shepherd's Center in Cimarron.

She was born July 6, 1919, in Wheeler, Ill., to Willie and Cecile Puffer Burke. She graduated from Coolidge High School.

On Oct. 25, 1937, she married Ivan Roberts in Garden City. After their marriage they resided in Ingalls for 40 years. She had lived in Cimarron for the past 12 years.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of First Christian Church of Cimarron, and enjoyed photographs and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband died March 31, 1987. She also was preceded in death by two sons, DeWayne and Dennis Roberts; two sisters, Pauline Showers and an infant sister, Gladys; and a grandson, Terry Roberts.

Survivors include a grandson, Gary Roberts of Fall River; a granddaughter, Lisa Harshberger of Meade; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, with David Johnson officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
