Daniel Thomas Davis, age 76, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
He was a graduate of Rule High School, Walter State Community College, and East Tennessee State University. Daniel was a proud United States Army Veteran. He served with the 3rd Cavalry Regiment, the Brave Rifles. Daniel retired from the Knoxville Police Department after 37 years and was currently working for Knox County Sheriff's Office as Court Security. He served as Worshipful Master of Burlington Masonic Lodge #763 and was a member of Moose Lodge #1560.
He was preceded in death by parents, James and Evelyn Davis; sister, Cathy Stephens; infant twin brother, James Davis; dear friends, Rudy Bradley, David McGoldrick, and Ron Humphrey. Daniel is survived by a son; a daughter; four grandchildren; former wife and loving friend; a cousin; and friends.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 15th from 6-8pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral and Masonic service following at 8pm. Graveside service will take place at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family and friends will meet at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home Wednesday, February 16th at 7:30am for procession to cemetery.
