Karen Louise Thomas, age 69, passed away at Allison Pointe Healthcare in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 28, 2022. She was born October 28, 1952, the daughter of Tommie and Mary Jane Tyler, in Centerville, Tennessee.

Karen was a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, and a member of The Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Richmond High School and was a homemaker. She liked Bingo, Church, playing cards and socializing.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, one daughter: Tracie Morris, Indianapolis, IN; two sons: William Thomas, Indianapolis, IN and Kyle Thomas, Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren: Jessica Thomas, Indianapolis, IN, Trenton Woods (TJ), Valparaiso, IN, Cameron Hughs, Hobart, IN, Amaia Cuevas, Valparaiso, IN and Haley Bennett, Indianapolis, IN; one great grandson: Genesis Oneal, Indianapolis, IN; one sister: Sharon Young (Robert); two brothers: Timothy Tyler (Connie) and Tommie Tyler; six nieces: Kia Johnson (Dajuan), Kristin Lawrence (Jacob), Shawn Clinkscale (Marcus), Porcia Tyler, Jasmine Tyler and Kayla Tyler; four nephews: Terry Tyler II, Marc Bradley (Kimberly), Anthony Young (Petrinia) and Brian Bradley (Melissa); and a host of other family and friends.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters: Sherrie Lynn Tyler, Donna Lou Bradley and Margo White; and one brother: Terry Tyler.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Joe and Wanda Meizelis for their care and support.

Public visitation will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on February 10, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Community Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
