Sandra Jane Taylor, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2022. She was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on November 25, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Dewitt Ratliff and Inez Taylor Ratliff. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William Charles Ratliff, John David Ratliff, Barney Ray Ratliff, and Kenny Phil Ratliff; and her sister, Rebecca Ratliff Clark.
Sandra was a graduate of Treadwell High School in Memphis, TN, class of 1967.
She served as Director/Secretary for the Knapp Foundation for eighteen years and retired in June 2017. She had a great love for her family, friends, and Bible Fellowship Group at Bellevue Baptist Church. One of Sandra's fondest memories was walking in the footsteps of Jesus on her trip to Israel. She loved cooking for her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 52 years, Philip Taylor; her daughters, Cheryl Hitchcock (Troy), Angie Hackmeyer (Jonathan), and April Lipsey (Bill); and seven grandchildren, Morgan Henry (Sam), Hallie (Austin) and Laci Hitchcock, Taylor and Connor Hackmeyer, and Madison and Reid Lipsey. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Ratliff Kuhlo, Ellen Ratliff Douglas, and Marcia Ratliff Brasel. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 12:30 pm at Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Road, Cordova, TN 38016. Following the service, the burial will be held at 2:30 pm at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
